## Program Description

The Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education Degree Program prepares students to be certified to teach preschool to grade five (P-5). Applicants who are interested in eligibility for teacher certification should contact the department chair.

 

 

## Student Learning Outcomes

Graduates of the Elementary Education Degree Program will be able to:

1. 91ÖÆƬ³§ a broad knowledge of instructional strategies that draws upon content, pedagogical and cultural competence.
2. Develop and implement meaningful learning experiences that support academic achievement of diverse learners, their families, and communities.
3. Demonstrate classroom behaviors that are consistent with the ideals of fairness and the belief that all students can learn.
4. 91ÖÆƬ³§ authentic emerging models of best practices in diverse field settings based on research on teaching and learning for P-12 classrooms.
