If you are having trouble signing in or accessing applications, start here. - ### [ MyCAU Portal ](https://myapplications.microsoft.com/) Your centralized dashboard to access all assigned CAU applications in one place. **Login with your CAU email address and password.** - ### [ MyPassword Portal ](https://mypassword.cau.edu) Reset your password or unlock your account without contacting the Help Desk. ## Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) What is Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)? Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) helps verify that the person signing in is authorized to access CAU systems. MFA adds an extra layer of protection by reducing the risk of unauthorized access. MFA requires more than one form of verification when signing in and helps protect university systems, applications, and data across the CAU environment. How do I enroll in MFA? Access the MCAU portal at [https://myapplications.microsoft.com](https://myapplications.microsoft.com/) to initiate the MFA enrollment. Refer to the MFA Enrollment Instructions for a step-by-step guide to the enrollment process. What do I do if I lost my device or if I get a new device? Please contact the OIT help desk at or 404-880-6482. ### MyCAU Portal MyCAU is the university’s centralized portal that provides secure, single sign-on access to CAU applications and systems. Use MyCAU to access email, learning systems, and administrative applications assigned to you. Sign in using your CAU email address and password. If you are able to access MyCAU successfully, you should be able to access most CAU systems that require your CAU credentials. If you experience issues accessing MyCAU, contact IT Support. ### My Password Portal The **My Password Portal** allows users to manage their CAU account **without** contacting IT Support. Use the My Password Portal to: - Reset your password - Unlock your account - Resolve password-related login issues After resetting your password, please allow up to **30 minutes** for the update to sync across all CAU systems. Password Requirements When creating a password, it must: - be at least 13 characters in length - include at least one uppercase letter - include at least one lowercase letter - include at least one number - include at least one special character (ex: @#$%!^) - not include your name. This includes your first, middle, or last name - not use any of your previous 8 passwords Having trouble accessing your account? ### Try these steps: 1️⃣ **Verify Your Email Address** Make sure you're entering your CAU email address correctly. 2️⃣ **Check Your Password** • Unsure of your password after 2 failed attempts? Reset it using MyPassword Portal • Remember: Passwords expire every 90 days 3️⃣ **Check if Your Account is Locked** • Go to the MyPassword Portal • Select "Unlock Your Account" • Follow the prompts to unlock 4️⃣ **Verify MFA Setup** • Make sure Microsoft Authenticator is installed on your device • Check that you approved the authentication notification • Ensure your device has internet connection 5️⃣ **Clear Your Browser Cache** • Clear your browser's cache and cookies • Try a different web browser • Try incognito/private browsing mode 6️⃣ Still Having Issues? Reset your password using the My Password Portal 2\. Set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Once these steps are complete, you will be able to access MyCAU and other CAU systems using your CAU email address and password.
