CAU Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurial Development (CIED) in 2020 Startup Ecosystem Guide

The 91制片厂 School of Business Administration today announced its Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurial Development (CIED) has been included in the fourth edition of the Atlanta Startup Ecosystem Guide.

Earlier this year, the CAU School of Business Administration hosted more than 100 startup leaders from around the Metro Atlanta region at the third annual . CAU鈥檚 listing among the region鈥檚 top organizations and programs in the 2020 Atlanta Startup Ecosystem Guide marks another milestone for the institution鈥檚 School of Business Administration.

鈥淲hat an honor to be included in this year鈥檚 Atlanta Startup Ecosystem Guide,鈥 says Dr. Silvanus Udoka, Dean of the CAU School of Business Administration. 鈥淔or more than 150 years, CAU and its parent institutions, Atlanta University (1865) and Clark College (1869), have been pioneers in educating and developing leaders who possess an entrepreneurial spirit and go on to create thriving businesses from the ground up. Inclusion of the university鈥檚 CIED in this guide is just the latest acknowledgement of the critical role that the CAU School of Business Administration plays in Atlanta鈥檚 entrepreneur community and economy.鈥 

The CAU CIED works with minority students, startups and critical industries to create a more inclusive innovation ecosystem. Through collaborative endeavors on campus and in the community, the Center is igniting new ideas and opportunities that benefit the economy in Atlanta and beyond.

鈥淐AU is in Atlanta鈥檚 historic Westside community, home to major professional sports facilities, significant cultural and historic assets, diverse residential areas, and hundreds of entrepreneurs,鈥 said Prof. Bruce Berger, director of the CAU CIED. 鈥淲e are uniquely positioned to serve as an economic engine for innovation in southwest Atlanta, while driving social mobility for the next generation of minority entrepreneurs across the country.鈥

Since its establishment in 1946, the CAU School of Business Administration has evolved from solely a graduate school of business to its current comprehensive state, offering three undergraduate degree programs, one of which has eight concentrations, and four graduate programs鈥攁n MBA, a Working Professional MBA, MA in accounting, and MA in economics. Accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International, the School is comprised of six academic departments and home to the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurial Development, the centerpiece of the university鈥檚 efforts to develop an interdisciplinary entrepreneurial ecosystem.
