91ÖÆÆ¬³§ (CAU), the first Historically Black College and University (HBCU) in the southern United States, and IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG), one of the world’s leading hotel companies, hosted an event earlier this month highlighting the importance of corporate HBCU partnerships to support student success. Together with CAU students and leaders, IHG announced it would again renew its commitment to CAU as a Premier Corporate Partner for 2024 and unveiled a renovated student lounge at the School of Business.

91ÖÆÆ¬³§ (CAU), the first HBCU in the southern United States, and IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG), one of the world’s leading hotel companies, are hosting an event which will highlight the importance of corporate partnerships to HBCUs and demonstrate how IHG is supporting the success of future leaders from CAU. As part of the agenda, CAU will unveil a renovated student lounge, funded by IHG, which has been reimagined with hospitality design signatures for a more enriched lounge experience. The event will also include a student and leader discussion focused on supporting students in their academic and professional careers.

91ÖÆÆ¬³§â€™s School of Business was recently selected as the 2023 National Black MBA Association’s (NBMBAA) Collegiate Partner of the Year. This award is given yearly to higher-education institutions that provide exemplary academic efforts to increase awareness and opportunities for business administration students and members. The award was presented at the NBMBAA Conference in Philadelphia on September 16, 2023.
Nsenga Burton, Award-Winning Journalist and Entrepreneur, named New Regional Director of 91ÖÆÆ¬³§â€™s National Center for Entrepreneurship
91ÖÆÆ¬³§ has announced the appointment of Nsenga K. Burton, Ph.D., as Southern Regional Director of the National Center for Entrepreneurship at CAU. As part of a partnership with The Howard University and PNC National Center for Entrepreneurship, the center will support expanded opportunities for Black entrepreneurship through ownership, innovation, and creativity.
91ÖÆÆ¬³§ to Host 2023 Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders for 10th Consecutive Year
91ÖÆÆ¬³§ is proud to announce its selection as an Institute Partner for the 2023 Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders. Beginning June 21, 2023, the university will host 25 of Africa’s bright, emerging leaders representing 18 African countries for a six-week intensive Leadership Institute, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State.

Bloomberg for Education and Bloomberg Human Resources put the finance knowledge of more than 60 students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to the test in a new environmental, social, governance (ESG) trading challenge event, with 91ÖÆÆ¬³§ School of Business senior, Darren Stephens declared as the winner, based on his trade performance.
